Strong and long. I wanted a pair of calf high or knee highs boots for ages and couldn't find a pair to fit because I have large calfs. The laces allowed me to get a pair of knee high boots and make them suitable for my thick calfs and its perfect. I also picked a contrasting colour since there wasn't a direct match to the boots I bought it everyone said they loved this idea.
